Our RATES are subject to change without notice. A 6% West Virginia Sales Tax is added to all charges. A 3% Hampshire County lodging tax of $.75 is added to the cost of each night's lodging per guest.



In addition to payment by cash or check, we also accept Visa and Mastercard.    




Gratuities
are not included in the Rates below, but are greatly appreciated.

We ask each client to consider a small voluntary donation to the Cacapon and Lost Rivers Land Trust (http://www.cacapon.org/) to help keep lands like North River Retreat wild and protected from development.  Again, this is voluntary only, and clients can “opt out” with no questions asked.

A hunt is approximately 3 hours and includes guide, dogs and lunch.

1 Adult: $325

2 Adults: $400

Additional adults: $75*

1 Adult + 1 Youth**  $350

     *Safety concerns may limit number of hunters

     **Age 17 or younger when accompanied by an adult



Two-day Hunt

Day 1: Arrive mid-morning for sighting-in and/or afternoon hunt. Note: Clients booked for opening day (Monday) arrive on Sunday, a non-hunting day.

Day 2: Hunt all day

Day 3: Hunt all day. Depart after afternoon hunt.

Meals and lodging included, except supper on day 3.

Adult: $500

Youth*: $400

     *Age 17 or younger when accompanied by an adult

One-day Hunts

Day 1: Arrive in late afternoon before supper. 

Day 2: Hunt all day. Depart after afternoon hunt.

Meals and lodging included, except supper on day 2.

Adult: $ 250/day

Youth*: $200/day when accompanied by an adult

     *Age 17 or younger when accompanied by an adult

Additional Charges

Killing a buck less than 6 points: $50* (*Note: this does not apply to hunters who have never killed a deer or to "button bucks" - yearling bucks with antlers less than 3").

Deer gutting charge: $30/deer. Gutting and skinning: $45/deer. NOTE: Guests are encouraged to gut and skin their deer, as this is an integral part of the hunting experience.




Weekly leases are available up to one week prior to the regular firearms season. 

The price for each weekly lease is $700 per week for each lease group of 1-5 hunters. A group leasing for 2 or more weeks receives a discounted rate of $600 per week.

If a group has more than 5 hunters, a charge of $100 is added for each hunter per week. The total number of hunters in a group is subject to approval by NRR.

A deposit of $250 is required from a lease group to reserve a particular week, refundable up to one month before the lease begins.

Day Hunts (Lunch Provided)

Day hunts can be arranged during time periods when leases are not in effect.

Adult and Youth: $ 100/day

SPRING GOBBLER HUNTING


To ensure for a quality hunting experience, only two hunting parties of 1-2 hunters are booked at a time and each party has their own guide.  

Guests booking a two-morning guided hunt during the regular season will arrive in time for supper on the evening before the first morning hunt, and depart after lunch the second day.

Guests booking a one-morning guided hunt during the regular season will arrive in time for supper the evening before the morning hunt and depart after lunch the next day.

For the Youth Day hunt, the youth and parent or guardian will arrive in time for supper on the evening prior to the hunting day, and depart after lunch the next day.  

Two-morning Hunt During Regular Season

1 guest guided alone: $450
2 guests with 1 guide: $350 each 
 

One-morning Hunt During Regular Season


1 guest guided alone: $225
2 guests with 1 guide: $175 each 

Youth Day Hunt (Youth from age 8-17 accompanied by a non-hunting parent): $300 
  

SHOOTING CLAYS AT "THE MATRIX" RANGE



Range reservation group fee (morning or afternoon): $50 for 1-5 guests; $55 for 6-10 guests; $60 for 11-15 guests; and $65 for 16-20 guests. 

Each round of 25 clays thrown: $8

Shotgun shells (20 and 12 gauge only): $8 per box of 25*

Loan of shotgun (20 gauge only), vest and safety equipment: No charge.

Drinks and snacks: No charge

*Guests are free to bring their own shells



Free when engaged in certain other paid activities

Otherwise:

Adult: $15 (morning or afternoon)

Youth* $10 (morning or afternoon)

     *Age 17 or younger when accompanied by an adult



Free when leasing the property for bowhunting.

Otherwise:

$35 per 24 hour period (whether whole or partial)

To help us plan our activities and ensure that everyone has an enjoyable and safe outdoor experience, we ask that our clients: 

Submit an appropriate deposit to book a reservation not to exceed $100 (except for leases). Deposits are fully refundable up to either two or four weeks prior to the client's arrival, depending on the activity. Clients will be notified by NRR in writing concerning the refundable period.

Possess appropriate hunting and fishing licenses and obey all laws. We do not sell licenses on-site, but they can be easily purchased online or from nearby stores. Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions. An excellent source of information about hunting and fishing regulations in West Virginia and purchasing licenses is available online at www.wvhunt.com.

Register and sign a liability waiver (advance copies are available upon request)

Use safety harnesses when hunting deer from tree stands and stay in one location while hunting.

Sight-in their firearms, either on or off site, prior to deer hunting.

Abstain from drinking alcoholic beverages when hunting or using firearms.
